Monari

Monari Federzoni 1921 is known and appreciated in over 50 countries worldwide. Today, almost 100 years and 4 generations later, the spirit of its products remains the same as it has always been: the love of one family for quality balsamic vinegar in the most authentic tradition of Modena.

In June 2009, the PDO and PDI Committee of the European Union awarded the prestigious Protected Geographical Indication label to the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. This award is of particular value to producers like Monari Federzoni 1921 who have always placed a premium on the quality and authenticity of their products.

WINE VINEGAR & COOKED MUST

These have always been the condiments par excellence of Italian cuisine. The fermentation and ageing of these ingredients are the crucial elements in the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, a characteristic product of the Modena and Reggio Emilia areas.

GRAPE MUST

All the Monari Federzoni 1912 products are made from the must of grapes typical of Emilia Romagna such as Lambrusco, Trebbiano, Ancellotta, Albana, Sangiovese, Fontana and Montuni which are left to ferment naturally with wine in hardwood vats and casks.

SOFT & PLEASANT FULL FLAVOR

This is created since the balsamic vinegar slowly follows the natural ranges of temperature of an area with very hot, humid summers and long, cold winters. Through constant contact with the wood and the natural process of fermentation, a special alchemy helps the development of intense aromas.
